Quantcast

With summer winding down, it looks like the beach days for many will be behind us. It looks like your sand castle building days are numbered, right? Don't worry, Konami has the answer -- an action-strategy title called Sandy Beach coming to WiiWare this Fall.

Sandy Beach will allow gamers to create and form elaborate sand castles using the Wii remote. You'll then be able to take pictures of your creations and save them in a gallery. But things aren't so peaceful on the shores of Sandy Beach -- beware, as you'll have to fend off invading crabs, determined to crush your designs, in the game's "Crab Battle" mode.

The game will also feature a cooperative mode, so you won't have to build on your own. Or, you know, you could just go to the park and play in a sandbox.

Wow. I would totally dig this. *zing!*

Also, some sort of genitalia is/was/will be among the first ten creations. Because of the LHC.

I agree with Chad. Price it at 500 points and it could be a silly little guilty pleasure.

this would be cool if you could walk around as a fat bully kid who walks all over other kids sand castles.

No worries, Chad, I'll play in the virtual sand with you. I actually bet Colette will dig it for the RetroForceGO review.

I live just a few minutes from the beach, so there's no excuse not to just jump in the car and go make a real one. However, I'm probably more inclined to play around with this one.

The key to defending your sand castles is to attack the crabs' weak point for massive damage.

At this point I thought I'd be less surprised by all of the absolute boring garbage they put out on wiiware, but nope. Still shocked.

Crab battle? In a Konami game? I wonder if the developers have visited Newgrounds.
