Your Halo 3 beta download future via Crackdown photo
Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere, but I don't believe in my gaming travels it has. Want to know how you'll get the Halo 3 beta when you buy Crackdown? Well, that picture tells you. Right in the "Downloads" section of the Crackdown menu is the option to download the Halo 3 beta. Mmmm, smell that? It's Spartan flesh.

God I can't stand waiting for this game anymore. Getting Halo 3 Beta, that's great, but seriously, I want to be able to max out my stats and cause massive damage in the city.

so i wonder how they are going to dish the demo out. Do all versions of Crackdown have the download menu? From what i understand there is a limited number of beta spots from Crackdown. Maybe it will be the first people to dl it.

they probably feel more rewarding to get, becuase instead of forcing yourself to play to get the acheivement(seriously...(in gears) you're just playing the game and the acheivemnts sound fun to get

so i go to my local ebgames yesterday to pre-order crackdown and i was welcomed by a sign that read "closed for renovation feb 2 - feb 21"
now im gonna have to go all the way to the other end of ottawa to pre-order it, im gonna have to ride the bus like a chump

how do u know if which crackdown gets the ability to download halo 3 beta? on the site, it says that only specific copies will be recieving it..but..yeah..just wondering..so if someone can get back to me with that answer that would be awesome!

GameFly has this on their site when you look at Crackdown.

"Note: The Halo 3 Beta is included on the Crackdown disc, but will not be unlocked until Microsoft activates the Beta via Xbox Live (date unknown). Once unlocked, you must have the Crackdown disc to play the Beta, and it will be available for a limited time only."

so by the sounds of that, i think i might be able to rent it and possibly get the halo 3 beta cause it is on the disc. thats what i plan on doing. if it doesnt happen, oh well. idc about the halo 3 beta that much, im no fanboy (hated halo2). i will rent a game for it and even buy the game at a discounted price if it is good (i never pay $60), but i will not pay any price if the game sucks just so i can play the beta.
