Your first look at the DC Heroes appearing in Mortal Kombat

Alright, I know many of you out there just were not satisfied at all with the DC vs Mortal Kombat trailer that went up over the weekend. You know what? I wasn't either. So I went ahead and did some Matlocking and I have uncovered a goldmine! 

As you can tell, all the videos here were recorded off screen so you'll have to forgive the low quality. Obviously, the person who leaked these videos didn't want to get caught stealing footage directly. You'll also notice that all the DC Heroes seem to be wearing alternate costumes based off the parallel universe DC Heroes called the Justice Lords. 

The first video above is of Batman fighting it out with Shao Khan. Hit the jump for Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunt and of course, Superman.

Alright, alright, jokes over. Obviously this isn't really new footage from DC vs. Mortal Kombat. All of these video were made through Mortal Kombat Armageddon's Kreate a Fighter mode. The same mode that freaked out Jack Thompson when he was put in the game. 

Take a good hard look at these videos folks. The next Mortal Kombat game will probably be nothing like this one. Come on Midway, bring back the Fatalities. Just look at the last video with Superman ripping the guy in half! That would have been amazing! 

Wonder Woman vs. Rain. 

Green Lantern vs. Reiko. 

Hawkgirl vs. Jarek. 

Martian Manhunter vs. Scorpion 

Superman in Mortal Kombat.

When I saw Superman use some sort of Kung Fu or Karate move up there, I almost died.

While I'd like to say fuck this game, it's going to suck, I will of course try it before I say anything too bad.

But it looks like shit....

um. this is fail.

this isn't the dc vs mk. this is people that made DC characters in armeggedon (had player creation, right?)

because i'm not seeing any sign of the new fighting in the air system... or uprgraded graphics... not a sign of the unreal engine being re-worked for mk....

Wow. Looks like the past three Mortal Kombat games. Bad idea. I had semi-high hopes too. This is pathetic. But goddamn that one little teaser poster of Batman and Sub-Zero is fucking awesome...

...too bad the game doesn't look like that

man, i saw the GL vid before I read the rest of the article and I was thinking about how utter fail the game will be. Good job faking me out. Now, any REAL footage out there?

Holy shit, like Mxy I too am glad I read the whole post before I commented - I was about the throw this game out as the worst game ever. Damn, CTZ - you even threw in Justice Lords alternate costumes to tease the flame. Nice touch.

So this is Midway's answer to reviving the Mortal Kombat franchise? How pathetic. The same slow and clunky MK combat system with generic DC character models... Give this game the award for worst game concept of 2008.


Midway, please show Mortal Kombat some mercy and let it die. You've ruined it enough times already.

I almost fell for it, CTZ. I was just about to comment on how shitty the game looked. Thank God I read people's comments before I commented. It made me go back to read the rest of the article.

It's not modded at all either. Armageddon has a Create-A-Fighter mode. They are just CAF from Armageddon.
