Your Avatar's head is playable in Madballs on XBLA photo

Game developers cannot allow Xbox 360 Avatars to be decapitated, have sex, or shout vulgar things, but turning their heads into a giant, playable ball with a gun? Totally acceptable.

While we had previously been told that Avatars would be included in the Xbox LIVE Arcade game Madballs in...Babo: Invasion, this is the first we have seen of them in action. Thanks to GamerBytes, we've actually got a short video of the insanity after the break, and it's almost too strange to pass up.

Whether or not Madballs ends up being a hit or not, it won't matter; it will always be remembered as "the game that lets you roll giant Avatar heads around."

Sounds like it could actually be a laugh. Also this has to be the first decent use of avatars EVER.

Doesn't this -- in a way -- count as decapitation? Just sayin'...

Avatars in general kinda creep me out, I mean, they obviously don't have souls.

A MadBalls game? Maybe it's just nostalgia taking over; but I find that actually kinda... cool. >_>

Wait, Madballs? From the 80's? Holy crap, I had a ton of those things.

Well, would you look at that. The ending title shot shows a couple of the balls (heh heh) that were out back then.

Kinda cool, in the nostalgic sense. Weird that they are digging up this franchise, though. Anyone else remember the cartoon? Awful stuff.

I dont remember madballs having guns when I was a kid. I remember finding one at school I must have been in 3-4th grade, the mummy head

Great balls of fire! I had no idea that Madballs were back in any way, shape or form. They've got my attention.

Take that, Miis! Although, you still can't touch Avatars in a way or in a place that makes them feel uncomfortable.

Funny that it'll be more creepy than using the Madballs themselves, which are meant to look kinda creepy.
