Before now, I was somewhat interested in Batman: Arkham Asylum, but after watching the above video, I'm pretty excited. This new trailer details the game's story, and also shows off a bit of gameplay, presenting Batman both as a stealthy predator and a psycho-pounding pugilist. It all looks rather special.
Obviously, cleverly edited videos can make anything look good, but this video has gone a long way towards making Arkham Asylum a far bigger blip on my radar. It looks like the people behind this venture are really putting some heart into it, which is more than can be said for nearly all licensed games.

Meet the rest of the team
AMAZING trailer. Everything still looks fantastic, the story seems really interesting, great voice actors (and iconic ones at that), as well as a brilliant score from what little was heard. That said, gameplay presented was still a little too vague for me to get a good enough idea of the game. If anything I'll play through it at least one for the story.
I'm hoping this game will give me the proverbial Batman suck-off I've been waiting for.
Am I the only one not getting a mega-boner over this? It looks...OK. Not bad, but nothing that is exactly saying "Hey, this is worth your $60 asswipe".
Yeah this trailer does make this game look good. I was listening to Invisible Walls on GT and one of the guys was saying what would be kool to see in this game is having Batman have hallucinations similar to the ones that Scarcrowe gives people in Batman Begins. That would be really awesome and would fit with the dark and gritty tone of this game. Hopefully the developers think about that for a level.
dammit, i hope the gameplay lives up to all the badassedness of having the conroy AND the hamill voice the thing. though i suppose i could always play it with my eyes closed.
Read about it in GamesTM, their preview was pretty glowing. Got a lot of hope for this, it could actually be good. It seems to have RPG elements too, which could either blow hot or cold I guess.
Looks "OK", but cashing in on The Bats' recent popularity and crafting a snazzy trailer doesn’t mean anything to me. This game (in my opinion) has two very tough watermarks to meet in the way of comic book games. The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction and THQ's The Punisher were phenomenal. Those two games represent the pinnacle of comic to game translations providing excellent gameplay with religious attention to character detail. The Bat still seems a bit stiff (he is a ninja after all), but I do like that they got Mark and Kevin. I buy most comic-based games and will most likely get this one also, but I avoid drooling accolades until after I play the finished product. Can someone tell "them" to stop making Batman fly like Supes!?!? He doesn't need to do that.....his enemies don't fly (with the exception of one or two) so why should he?
I'm not a fan of the graphics. Everything looks too plastic-y. I wish they had used the animated look since it fits Batman's world better. I like the voices, of course. I worry about the gameplay.
That's a mighty fine trailer you've got there, Jim. I don't know if I'm sold on the game itself but the fact that there's a good rapport between Batman and the Joker (and that they went with those particular voice actors) adds a lot to the developer's credibility.

This game will be tits.
Also, I know he's supposed to have "muscles on his muscles" but that's pretty 'roid-tastic right there.
I'm hoping this game will give me the proverbial Batman suck-off I've been waiting for.
My love for Batman and love for vidjagames may have just been combined into one amazing pacakage of glorious epic-ness
Also Kevin Conroy ftmfw.
Looks good, but it's going to need to be solid game-wise.
Also, nerd-boner.
That would have been an interesting experience.
