Okay, so maybe this isn't what you expected. It's certainly no Virtua Fighter 5. It is, however, an okay looking Tekken game that looks like it's going to deliver the goods fans are used to.

I pass on Tekken as a whole. After playing Tekken 4 and having to deal with the RPG mini game where I'm powering up with a manically deep voice telling me "CHICKEN" when I'm picking up the ONLY health power up in the game, I'm not too worried about keeping up with the Joneses in my fighting games.
Tekken has always been a tough sell. The first Tekken looked awful, but if you started playing at Tekken 2, you'd find that this game had some sweet mechanics. Tekken just doesn't translate well from arcade controls to console. I might be very alone thinking this, but VF is a fast button masher, and I do play it. If there's a game that killed both of them, it's DOA.

shinier graphics are good but Tekken is starting to

Everyone knows which fighting game I like best allready so I don't need to state that. I don't care as much for the graphics if they can improve the gameplay. I think this tekken is coming out so soon with marginal improvement in graphics is probably to compete with Virtua Fighter in the arcades.
Ever since they released Tekken Tag Tournament they should have never gone back to the 1 vs. 1 setup. In Tekken the harder you smash the buttons the faster you get your ass handed to you. Tekken 4 was probably the shittiest version to come out, but thankfully they went back to the normal feel in Tekken 5.
Seriously. They did sucha good job graphically with Tekken 5 on the PS2, that this seems last-gen to me. I am sick of renders being passed off as the actual game Madden2K6 anyone, Call of Duty2, Graw, the infamou Killzone 2 E3 footage, and now the Tekken 6 e3 footage. Give it a rest already with the @#!@# prerenders. If this is the best that Tekken has to offer, it is going to move very few PS3 units.
Boy do I remember when people tried giving shit to DOA4 when it was first showcased, but the game still looks better than the competition, even when games like VF5 and T6 are releasing almost 2 years later. Insert foot in mouth, fanboys.
Let me tell you a story about fighting games since most of you seem clueless. Back in the day there were 3 fighting games that mattered; the Street Fighter series and the Mortal Kombat series(yes SNK games ruled but they weren't as popular). Then came Virtua Fighter(ok maybe it was around the same time whatever). Then the first good Tekken, Tekken 3 tag, came out.
anyway, this was the best fighting game ever. Then they dropped some shit on us. Then they kinda fixed it. Then they really fixed it and brought us Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection. Everything was right in the world again. There are now 2 fighting series that matter(soul caliber and DOA can suck it). Virtua Fighter and Tekken are the last men standing. 6 looks pretty good though.
Hmmm.. is there a HD version of this trailer or something, because I really cant see any difference to tekken 5. Or maybe Tekken 5 graphics were too advanced for their time?
I like the customization thing, but other than that, this looks EXACTLY like tekken 5. anyone with me on this?

Where's the billowing clothing? The textile textures? This is supposed to be next-gen, dangit!
