It's been a matter of weeks since I last talked about Minecraft. There's no better way to break the silence than with this cheesy, but ultimately heartwarming video that has been making the rounds lately.
One BioWare developer proposed to another BioWare employee by harnessing the raw power of lava to spell out "Marry me?" in the very landscape itself. They even went the extra length of building an oversized ring, as per Minecraft tradition.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

The proposal was made of lava. I'd say that's plenty proof of how he really feels. Even the attempt to get too close will end with someone burning to ashes.
That's surprisingly cold for a sentiment for one expressed in molten rock and metals!
reminds me of the time 2 friends pretended to get together as a joke. people fell for it and were actually happy for them. when they revealed it was just a joke they realised how sad their lives actually were.
IMO this video is fake, and i imagine the author lives a lonely life.
yes like magnalon, i am insanely jaded about stuff like this.
No offense to the guy who took the time to build it (its the thought that counts) but that was......meh. He could have at least made the marry me stand out more by removing the dirt around it and replacing it with obsidian or something.
I agree with ZRB. He didn't even build a minecart path up the hill and down the other side. I think "Marry Me" spelled with lava encased in glass, floating in the sky is the minimum standard here.
I took my wife parasailing in the Bahamas and had the driver crash the boat and made sure he safely cut the cord so she would float free. The drivers name was Hugo and he was a funny man. Anyways, knowing my would be wife, I had a remote island rented for the day and once she landed in the ocean she swam for the island, like I knew she would. On the beach was a remote switch that anyone in their right mind would press out of sheer curiosity.
Once the switch was hit a 43 foot "fake" volcano rose from the ground, filled with baking soda and a flare shot up into the morning sky triggering a plane to fly overhead. This plane was carrying vinegar and it unleashed it's liquid in a glorious flow hitting the volcano dead on. The geyser erupted and spouted red bubbling foam everywhere. My would be wife screamed as the local village tribe carried me out, tied to a rope and stabbing me in my side. With tears covering her body and blood mine I fell to the ground and sprang up with a ring in hand carved from the bone of the most exotic animal the island could offer, the elusive Wakka Bird. I then popped the big question. She said yes.

There are way too many fake ones for me to care, the cool factor is there but if it isn't real whats the point.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

On topic: That's pretty qute, but a bit too nerdy for me. :P
Even so, cute stuff.
