This is pretty darn cool. As part of his thesis Andreas Heikus put together a video of a complete run of Super Mario Bros. played out on a street curb. See he is studying matchmoving, which is putting digital animation into the real world. The outcome is something pretty neat to watch.
I will admit I would have liked it to move beyond the curb a bit more, but that would have probably been really problematic. Plus, it leaves plenty of space for a sequel where Super Mario Bros. 2 is played. The vertical gameplay in that would make for some really awesome stuff.
