The above is a trailer for the PSP title Ikkitousen:Eloquent Fist, and provides more evidence as to why the PSP must be selling so well in Japan, as its full title may as well be Eloquent Fisting of Schoolgirls.
The gameplay actually looks cool, like an old-school sidescrolling beat 'em up, which happens to be one of my favorite types of games. Still, I'm not sure how much like an almighty pervert I'd feel if I dared to be seen playing this big boob festival on the bus.

Moar: Reader Covah is telling me that this game (and the anime it's based on) is -- somehow -- inspired by my favorite book of all time, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I think my brain is going to explode in the comprehension of this new information, but now I kind of have to check it out to see how they managed to turn a 2000-year-old historical novel into a series of high school molestations.

Fun fact for you Jim is that the story is based off the romance of the three kingdoms, so if you do enough research (wiki) and get the japanese names matched up with the chinese names, you can see whos who in Dynasty Warriors!
To respond to the edit, the series as a whole is loosely based off of Three Kingdoms. The premise is that there are multiple highschools with fighters who each have an earring that contains the soul, or spirt of one of the warriors, and it's their destiny to carry out what happened back then pretty much. The manga does this a lot more, but the three anime series (well first two, the third just came out yesterday) sorta lose their way.
A list of all the characters and their Three Kingdoms counterparts is compiled here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ikki_Tousen_characters . The main characters you follow through out the series are Sun Ce, Lu Meng (girl with eye patch) Zhou Yu, Zuo Ci, and Yue Jiu just to name a few. A separate school follows Liu Bei (girl with glasses,) Guan Yu, and Zhao Yun, again to name a few.
Early in the series Dong Zhuo is the main bad guy and the person who is Lu Bu is his girlfriend basically instead of adoptive kid. I think? I don't know. But they do changes stuff like instead of Lu Bu killing him, he kills himself.
Later on in the series Cao Cao becomes the main bad guy.
Like it said, its loosely based off of it, but in reading the manga its definitely there, they even have pages explaining what some of the warriors did.

Seriously though, its a fun enough series and given that the 2 main focuses of the series are underdressed females and people kicking seven shades of shit out of each other I'd say its surprising that its taken this long to get a game out of it.
