You don't say: GTA Online heists are taking longer than expected

Long-awaited update officially delayed

Rockstar has been putting out fairly regular updates for GTA Online but to some players, that content has been essentially irrelevant -- it's the heist update we want, not this other stuff. The company responded to player inquiries today and, unsurprisingly, heists need more time.

"We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated," Rockstar said.

"We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding and support."

Even with PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V on the way, it's still these darned heist missions that fans keep asking about. And it's not like they've been impatient.
