You Don't Know Jack is making a comeback photo

The popular 90s trivia game series You Don't Know Jack, as revealed on the Giant Bombcast, is being brought back into the fray by Jellyvision and THQ. On the game's official website, Jellyvision lovingly says "We told you so. P.S. More THQ/Jellyvision YDKJ partnership news to come. Stay tuned!"

Not a whole lot to go on necessarily, unless you happen to be a fan and are immensely satisfied by the mere existence of a new installment. I'm not familiar with these games, at all, so I took it to Jonathan Ross to catch me up to speed on all things You Don't Know Jack.

He linked me to this video, then punched my mother in the face. SOLD!

OMFG!

So much of my childhood memories relived. I remember playing this game with my Dad and Uncle, and being VERY awkward during the orgasm sounds for the "3-Way" question section, and shocked at how cool the "phone a celebrity" section was.

Then I remember playing the watered down console version with my wife. I loved the second one the best - GREAT games!

I first learned about this on the bus last week, listening to the aforementioned Bombcast.
I had the biggest retard smile on my face when he announced it, I must have gotten some weird looks.

Woo! Those games were great. As a downloadable title on PSN for five bucks? I'd be so down.

I really should raid the jelly store. I prefer console gaming, but it's better on the pc.
Hmmm....

If it helps, the website sells versions of most of the classic games that will work on modern versions of Windows. I bought "The Best of Cookie" and have yet to regret the purchase.

For people wanting downloadable versions, have you played the online games. 100 episodes are at the official website along with lots of dis or dats.

Anyways, does anybody know you don't know Jack games compatible with the mac, or are they all for the evil windows empire?

Hahaha that's awesome. I think I have a version or two lying around somewhere. My girlfriend loves it. It's one of the few games she likes to play together.

Trying typing "fuck you" on the gibberish questions and see what happens. Hilarious!

I've heard good things about this series, but never tried it myself. I love trivia, so I'll check this out.

I had a few of those games a while back. Very cool stuff. Also, the linked video is beautiful. It makes me wanna install the games again just to try that kind of thing.

@Dexter/anyone who hasn't played it
Find a real cheap copy of the game on PS1 - it's like $5 max in Gamestop's bargain bins - make sure you have 3 people!

I was about to say the same thing. They don't even carry fuckin' GameCube games anymore at most places.

A few of mine still have some lying around.

I guess you can just look online anyways and find it cheap!

@Xzyliac
Really? The same ones I'm talking about still have Gamecube, and original Xbox games.

Does anyone know if the old games work under WIndows 7? I have JDKNJ 1, 2, 3, 4/Ride, and Offline.

Well I worked at gamestop for a bit and I was under the impression that all stores had phased out all older systems aside from one's they felt they could still make a profit from ie gamecube/gba/ps2 games. Original xbox was phased out sometime last year since MS dropped backwards compatibility support completely and it just wasn't worth having them around since no one was buying them. But PS1 games is unheard of, I'm surprised you still have stores with them as they were pennied out a LONG time ago and should of been either thrown away or given to employees. I wonder why there are still stores with some, seems strange to me.

I loved the UK one. It no longer works Mac side, but playing it on PC side works fine. I will most likely buy this.

It's surprising how the questions didn't seem that dated...

Also, I disagree with the "downloadable" argument. I think this should see a retail release (like the Buzz games), since they could add a lot more that way. And DLC question packs should be a given.

Also, as a fan of the first game, I request, no, DEMAND the return of Mr. Stickybuddy.
