You can grab XBLA's 'Haunt' for free right now
NanaOn-Sha, developer of the amazing PaRappa The Rapper, came out with a Kinect game earlier this year called Haunt. It didn't really make a splash, and odds are you probably haven't heard of it. That all changes today, as you Americans can get the game for free right at this very moment, up until July 2nd. All you have to do is load up your 360, access the "Kinect Central" button on the main menu, and download the game. To be clear, you can't do it online at Xbox.com. Some Joystiq users are reporting that you need to have Kinect connected (ha!) in order to see this offer. Others are saying that it comes up listed as 800 MSP rather than free, so double check before you mindlessly mash the purchase button. I can confirm that I was able to download it fairly easily, and free, just moments ago -- check out my gallery picture for a heads-up on the location of the offer. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)You should probably add that this is only for America. International Xbox users will not get this game for free. Easily one of the best Kinect experiences that makes great uses of it's core features and elements.
A must-own for any Kinect owner (especially with it being free for the time being). I put this behind only the Dance Central games among what I've played on Kinect. Fun title, and Tim Schafer's narration is often laugh-inducing (in a good way). 5:15 PM on 05.17.2013 Contest: Are YOU the Internet's Next Top Streamer?[Update: Contest over! 6:00 PM on 05.07.2013 Jack the Reaper feels like a long-lost SNES plaftormerIt's one thing to look like a Super Nintendo title, but Jack the Reaper from Dream's Bell checks all of the right boxes: style, sound, gameplay, and even the opening cinematic feel like the mid-'90s in concentrated form.
