You can curse me anytime: new Cursed Mountain screens photo

After seeing these screens, I can't even begin to wrap my head around the fact that Cursed Mountain is going to be on the Wii. That's not a cheap stab at the Wii, either -- it's just that these screens look really great, and I don't normally look to my Wii for a solid horror experience (although I'm still waiting patiently for Fatal Frame IV or whatever it's going to end up being called).

With titles like this, MadWorld and Fragile headed to the Wii this year, it excites me to think that I will be able to get more use out of the system since these are the kinds of games that I've been really hoping to play. Looks like I'll be waggling my Wiimote again after all. Who's with me?

I'm with you, mostly about madworld, but this game is looking so damn sexy.

So good to see Wii getting some cooler games. Like we always said it was all down to the developer working around its limits. How strange is it, that the smaller devs are coming up with the real goods, while most of the big fish hide behind casual games.

Wait, Fragile is -headed- to the Wii?

It's out in Japan already. So do you have some kind of secret info about a Europe or US release? If you do and haven't told us, there will be trouble. Much trouble.

Also: Do want. This game has looked really interesting since I first laid eyes on it. I'm always up for a good horror game.

Well, the game certainly looks good, but how will it play?

Horror: Good. Game for the Wii: Good. But I won't jump onto any bandwagons until I know more about it.

I'm really, REALLY excited for this game. I almost want this more than Fatal Frame IV. Almost.

Also, I'm with Gen Eric on this one --- Do you know about a U.S. Fragile release? DO YOU?!?

Did Fragile get announced for a US release without me knowing?

I'm not a tech-geek by any means, but it's all about the artwork on Wii, isn't it? That's one thing that poses no problem at all, as opposed to handling enough polygons to render 100 zombie models moving around at once. You can still make environments look just about as good as you want - if you're willing to pay for top notch talent.

Titles like this one, Muramasa, and some of Nintendo's own stuff show that if a Wii game looks like vomit, it's because someone made a conscious decision that it didn't need to be better. Good to see that's starting to stop. It's overdue.

OH NO YOU DI'INT! Did you just say that Muramasa looks like vomit?

I think it was just a poorly worded compliment, Diverse.

Uh, no. I meant to say that Muramasa was one of the good ones. Oni's right. It came out garbled. Oh well.

yep, im with you. This is looking pretty snazzy. Just hope the gameplay can live up to the rest of the package.

Looking like a strong year for quality 3rd party wii offerings :]

Yum! These screens look incredible! I am really liking the art style here, it's realistic but at the same almost over textured which adds a pretty gritty-without-being-annoying look.

The combat has me worried but thus far production values are pretty impressive. Anybody seen the trailer? Voice acting is top notch.

I'm definitely anticipating this. They really need to fix the logo though...ugh. Artists were obviously preoccupied.
