Shuhei Yoshida went into the importance of the DualShock 4's share button for the PS4's overall strategy in a roundtable discussion this morning. He says that it's a "huge focus" for Sony, and one of the key features of the PS4.
"We believe that that's important for consumers today -- to talk about or share what they're doing with other people," Yoshida said. "It's just part of their lifestyle to find something interesting on the internet and immediately share it wit other people."
Sony wants to bring that behavior that consumers already have to the PS4, allowing them to share without needing to use other devices.
"If something cool happens, just push the button," Yoshida grinned.
He said that the share system is expandable, and that when they work out partnerships with other service providers, they will be selectable options from this share button.
