A slew of new images from little-known indie game Grand Theft Auto IV were just released and, I have to say, I am very impressed (check them all out in the gallery below).
I know there are a bunch of you out there that are not the biggest GTA fans, but even the haters can’t deny how pretty these screens are. From the staggering amount of detail to the very impressive lighting and weather effects, this game looks to be shaping up extremely well (especially when compared to past games in the series). I can’t wait to get my prostitute blood-stained hands on it come this fall.
What do you think? Are you nodding your head in appreciation like I am? Or are you still waiting for something more? And what is up with the character in the pool hall? Is that Niko Bellic? I’m confused ... hold me ...

The city itself looks awesome. GTA just scratched some Saint's Row off it's balls.....with it's mothafuckin' paws.
Any Edward James Olmos reference is full of "Proactiv" win! You are amazing.
On the graphics though, I'm not terribly psyched by them. The thing is, that's how good all decent ps3 and 360 games look, if not a little below par. The beauty in this game will be in its (hopefully) complete freedom and seamless exploration. I'm not a big fan of the series, but if this improves on the flaws of its predecessors while keeping their strengths, I'll pick it up by all means.

It might not look as good as other games but then if you think about it, no other game is a big as a GTA title. If you look at it that way then the graphics look a lot better.
