The official site for No More Heroes is now up, causing collective aniticpation for Suda 51's latest slice of tripped-out, carnage-packed potential greatness to rise another excitable notch. While the majority of the content is yet to appear, there are a few small black and white, vintage-film style images from the trailer to check out on the Story page, with the promise of character and (presumably control) system information, as well as more pictures to come.
Not only that, but Famitsu has got six new screenshots up, showing off the Killer 7 creator's new vision through the medium of sword grapples, suplexes, and men being sliced in half. There are also a couple of shots depicting a scene on a beach, which show some surprisingly delicate refinement of Suda's gung-ho cel-shaded style.
Anyone not excited about this one yet? No? Good. As Niero so rightly said a couple of days ago, this game is punk. I can't remember the last time a game evoked such an unhinged level of balls-out anarcho-splendor, and given the sheer, eyeball-bleeding joy of both the teaser and the full trailer, I want this yesterday. Now.
Hit the gallery for the Famitsu shots.
[Many thanks, as ever, to Blindside Dork]
I don't care if I contribute, you fucking thank me and fucking like it you freakin limey.
Damn.
Seriously this game will kick ass. Or be punk, whatever.
Oh, haven't checked out the new site yet but I am gonna with a big fat hard-on. Looking forward to this game like mad.
I feel so god damn special right now...
Blindside I'm so chainsawing you in half when I get the chance.
haha, that was funny...
I know too much rasslin'.
And yeah Richard, it is.
There is more to it, but from what I know, the game is not as story oriented as Killer 7 was. In fact, Suda 51 has said many times this game is sort of a reaction to Killer 7, meaning (maybe) that No More Heroese is to be everything Killer 7 isn't.
Either way, I'm very optimistic about this game and hope it turns out well. Suda is by no means a master game developer, but on sheer unconventionality alone, his games are worth checking out.
Fuck, I loved Killer 7.
though I didn't get the retro-dots all over the place (the visual point that is)
But yeah, I want a story.
