Yay! I always find myself picking female characters when the option is there, for reasons I'm not sure of myself. Nice to know I'll have that option after all.

i watched aliens recently and it's downright fucking racist that the hero is a woman and the villain is either a man or alien creatures depending on how you look at it.

It's always amazing when developers listen to the fans. My hopes for this game just increased even more.

I called it. I said so. As soon as this started to become an issue, I said that Gearbox won't let fans down. If fans ask for female marines, Gearbox will deliver because that's just the kind of studio they are. They don't stick their noses up at the community like some developers/publishers and get insulted that gamers DARED to suggest something.

I have the entire Alien set on dvd so I should watch them right before the game comes out to prepare myself. I also have the Predator movies but those are a lot less relevant but still awesome. AVP and AVPR were only okay but at least they had nice SP-FX.
I'm glad they put in female Marines, not just for inclusion but because the original quadrilogy was so much about a strong female character.
They should have included a female character or two from the very start. Don't piss Ripley off, she'll airlock you.
Played this at PAX and loved it. Controls great and the Marines Vs Aliens multiplayer was very intuitive. The developers who were there are very excited, and it was a genuine love for the Aliens franchise driving it.
Bravo! This game is back on my watchlist!
