Yay teaser sites! Sega encourages gambling with Jackpot photo

I know how much you all love teaser sites, so here's another from Sega. As with most teasers, it says nothing about anything, and you'd find more out about Sega's plans by slamming your dick in the door rather than directly asking them about it. Nevertheless, here it is. It's called "Jackpot."

For those too lazy to do clicking, the site shows a lottery machine which has a handle. When you pull the handle, numbered balls come out. That's it, really. Some are trying to convince themselves that this means more Shenmue is on the way, but those people have gone mad.

It'll be something disappointing, I'm sure of it.

The same numbers keep coming out: 042352. Since it's different than the header image, my guess

Is it a countdown to Comic-Con? 4 days, 23 hours, etc.

Seems likely.

It's a countdown clock, it seems. Everytime you pull the level, it tells you how many days, hours, & minutes until it'll be revealed on Tuesday at 10 AM EST. It was posted on Sega's Twitter.

Anyone also notice how there seems to be a good amount of casino levels in Sega games? Sonic 2, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Pinball Party, Sonic Rush, Yakuza, Streets of Rage....

"Would you like to play a game of Lucky Hit? How about try Lucky Hit?"

Shenmue, I miss your insanity.

Although I would get down on my knees and praise whatever higher being was responsible for a new Shenmue...I don't think that's even plausible. But as a blind Sega loyalist (not a fanboy mind you, I'll buy every Sega product but bitch about how miserable it is), I'll be keeping a close on this.

It clearly means that they are about to announce a game to release on May 2nd, 2005.
