Make some noise folks, Watchmen: The End is Nigh Part 2 is almost here. By the time August rolls around, the follow-up to the downloadable brawler will be available for all the cool platforms: PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade and Steam. Below the fold is a new teaser -- which just so happens to announce this information -- for your viewing pleasure.

The teaser features plenty of combat and aggression. There’s door smashing, vigilante busting and even a glimpse of a few unique superpowers. In addition to tickling the more aggressive centers of the brain with violent moving pictures, the trailer has text that promises “hardcore action” before cutting to some dude wearing S&M gear. Awesome.

The movie hype is gone, so we’re not exactly sure how this will perform. Tell us, will you being purchasing this thing or is Watchmen too old?

The first one wasn't worth $20. At all. This one doesn't look like it will be either.

I procured the first one and drained it of it's juices within a single sitting. I will not be making the same mistake twice. Shit, t'weren't even that good a game.

I didn't bother with the first, and don't see why I would this time either.

Yay, you have no idea about the first one, do you?

I was just wondering what happened to this game earlier. It was really dumb to release it in two parts, especially when part two is coming so late. Who cares? :\

And when the first one really sucked, so nobody will make the same mistake of buying both parts.

I have a hard time believing that the developers made enough money on the first one to warrant developing a second one. Anyone else in the same boat with me?

See, I don't know--I really liked the demo, but I heard the game play was short overall. I thought it was visceral and had a great set of combo abilities. Really liked Rorschach's takedown moves. But for $20, I wasn't THAT interested.

However, just so everyone knows, part 2 is being released to coincide with the DVD release on the 21st. It's not late, just trying to cash in on the DVD interest.

FinnE: 50 Cent: Bulletproof got a sequel too, but I wouldn't think that it sold well at all.

Also, more likely than not, they just took the first game, broke it down, and rebuilt it a little bit different. Cheaper to make, and it still gets the name "Watchmen" talked about, to make sure people remember the DVD exists.

I find it kind of odd seeing how the original comic or movie didn't have that much fighting.

Considering the first part was given mediocre reviews, Destructoid giving it a 50, I doubt that a) I'll be picking it up and b) there's anything "awesome" in the second part

I actually really enjoyed the first one, so I might just pick this up. Hopefully it'll be cheaper than 1600, though.

I'll probably rent it, as a DVD version is coming to the 360 with both parts for 30 bucks on July 21st. PS3 owners can get both parts and the Blu-Ray movie for 50 bucks.

I only played the demo of the first one because fuck buying things. It was alright, kinda like if you made Double Dragon 3D and put it in a prison with Rorschach and Nite-Owl

As much as I want to be excited for a Watchmen-themed beat 'em up, I'm finding it hard to care about this. Especially if it's $20 like the last one.

@Roager: This isn't a sequel, it's just part 2. They only released the first half and now they are releasing the second half.

You see, when you can buy Battlefield 1943 for $15, why would you buy this, which will probably be the same game, for $20?

Now, I loved the demo of the first game, but when I heard how short it was I was immediately put off by the price. Again, when there are better things out there (And for a better price), why get this when it's quite obvious that it's over-priced.
