Yay, an RPG! Eternal Sonata coming to PS3 [Update] photo

It seems that in this pre-TGS period, positive points are popping up for PS3 people.

We heard earlier today that Beautiful Katamari will eventually be rolling its way to Sony's flagship console sometime in the future (Wii, too!), and now another title once thought to be an Xbox 360-only game is also coming to the PS3.

Namco Bandai's Web page for Eternal Sonata lists the PlayStation 3 under "platforms" for this title, right alongside the already available Xbox 360 version. Although the release date is listed as "TBD", PS3 owners should be pleased to know that this lovely cell-shaded musical role-playing game is coming their way.

That's the spirit, Namco Bandai. Share the love.

[Uh-oh, it's gone. The PS3 listing is gone from the Web page. Good eye, Zero Iscariot]

Isn't that the same thing listed on Haze for 360 and PC?

It's the "Xbox 360: Available Now!" part that pisses me off.

@ Rorschach

Just like they always do: in a spectacular display of stupidity. TGS hasn't started yet, I'm sure they'll fall on their face at some point during the show or shortly thereafter.

@Chibi_Zero

Yeah, i remember reading that somewhere, that it was pretty much a timed exclusive on the 360.

@Hollywooda, just the part where they say it's out for 360 while the stores and my dvd-tray say otherwise.

Namco, please don't fuck with my brain. I want to get a PS3 eventually, and stuff like this doesn't help. :(

Neonie:

Obviously you don't understand the concept of competition in the marketplace.

The PS3 failing would be a HUGE blow to the videogame industry.

This 'now PS3/not PS3' is getting ridiculous. Is this hackers or absent-minded web-moders?

Well considering that this game is pandered towards Japanese gamers and there is no chance in hell that the 360 will outsell PS3 or Wii in the land of the rising sun; I say its a pretty good chance that this would happen eventually. Although I will say that I still won't buy this game since it just seems to be another generic RPG.

SHIT, PREMATURE POSTING!!
Heres a quote taken from the article about Eternal Sonatas ending

"The ending of Eternal Sonata clocks in at 45 minutes worth of cinemas credits and so-on. We're interested on hearing your take on the puzzling finale. One thing we came away with was that this was a very personal project for Tri-Cresendo. You can really feel it in the messages they try to get across. We're not sure what do make of it and some folks will be annoyed. But like the grinch hovering above whosville, consider our jaded hearts softened a bit."
