Holy sh*t, Yakuza 3. You're looking so good.
We loved the Japanese-only demo, but apparently we didn't see anything from the full game. This new trailer (above) shows us all kinds of great stuff you can do while you're not bashing skulls in as a Yakuza member.
Forget fighting. You can eat, drink, shop for crap at Don Quixote (the trailer stops to play the store's theme song), explore Okinawa, wear hip islander clothing, visit karaoke joints, and more. A segment in the video pans over all the included real-world brands in the game. The next shows many of the minigames.
Minigames shown:
- batting cages
- bowling
- epic fishing
- golf
- UFO catcher games
- Answer x Answer quiz game
- casino games
- various Japanese board games (Go, Shogi, etc...)
- billiards
- darts
- karaoke
There's another segment on the hostess bars we talked about in our preview. There's some fondling going on here!
Past that, there's detailed video on the battle system, featuring ring matches and tag teams. And another video after the jump focuses on the storyline of this third game. This game is huge! It's like dozens of games in one. This had better come out here, Sega.

[In light of recent criticisms, Dtoid community blogger Voltech took it upon himself to defend Japan's games and culture, and argues that they aren't so different from the West's. Want to see your own words appear on the fron...
With all of the Nintendo Direct news to have come out this morning, it's been a busy day for Sega. ("Sega Direct," indeed.) One of the more interesting games shown off is, regrettably, exclusive to Japan. Yakuza 1 & 2 HD...
A Sony Japan teaser website has culminated in the release of a trailer for a game called Panopticon which, to my eyes, looks like another take on the popular Monster Hunter formula. One in which fashionable young people (wit...

Here is a full look at both of Pokemon X/Y's playable characters. Note that both trainers have some kind of glasses on their headgear. My guess is that they'll be donning those specs to engage in some kind of 3D-enabled view ...
