I guess the word's out that I'm excited about Yakuza 3. Here's how I know: when word got out that a Japanese PlayStation Network demo was coming, my inbox exploded. Personal emails said things like "Dude, Dale! Yakuza 3, PSN!" and "Hey, you never return my emails" or "hey, are you ever going to do that thing that I asked you to do?" or "account XXXX3350 is overdue."
Naturally, I deleted them all except the ones about Yakuza 3. Sorry to friends, colleagues and bill collectors.
Now's the time to do that thing. You know, that thing we do to get the demos that Japan's PSN gets. Tonight. You'll want to do that tonight, as the Yakuza series makes its PS3 debut on February 19th, Japan time.
Destructoid community blogger unangbangkay does a fantastic job of telling you why you should try out the Yakuza 3 demo today. My favorite quote from his excited post:
IT HAS SOUL PATCHES. DID YOU KNOW THE GEARS GUYS ALL HAVE SOUL PATCHES? WELL, THIS GUY IS BETTER, BECAUSE HE HAS A LEISURE SUIT AND RAD SHOES.

Give us Yakuza 3!!!
Fuck that, we aren't to blame for the sales, the fact that Sega DIDN'T advertise the game is why sales sucked. Sega is just sitting there like "ooooooh will this game sell????!!" when they have no plans for advertising.
Very true. But in board meetings they don't calculate how many sales are lost through inaction. In fact I'm sure they count VC as a great success since nobody in the real world knew about it.
