Sega's Yakuza is a bit of a sleeper. The 2006 story-driven brawler recieved praise from the press and many gamers, but others tell me that they've never picked it up. If you haven't yet, and you don't hate brawlers, do so. It will make you feel like a Japanese gangster. And the unintentionally funny factor is quite high.
Sega has released a new trailer to promote Yakuza 2, which will be released on September 9th. They went for a kind of film noir thing that does not really work for this sandbox-y, RPG-ish Japanese mafia title. I mean, come on: the shot with the "damsel in distress" is a girl in a bathrobe, drinking a beer.
Goofy trailer or not, I'm still looking forward to the release of Yakuza 2. I can't believe we're already talking about a third game in the serires when so many haven't played the original title.

Sure took them long enough to finally bring this out here and good on them for keeping the original dialogue. I can't wait to get my pimp on in the cabaret clubs again :)
does anyone know if September 9th is the day we can pick it up or is it September 10th?
