YAHTZEE for iPad now available photo

EA Mobile sent out a press release letting people know that a version of YAHTZEE is now available for the iPad. In addition to the standard game of chance and compromise, there are additional gameplay styles to choose from. There's one called "Duplicate" and another called "Rainbow." And then there's the one called "Duplicate Rainbow" which I am totally freaking out about. How is that even possible?!

Laugh, if you must, but I really like YAHTZEE. When I was a kid, we had a travel set that we'd take on vacations and that was pretty much what we did. Even the eventual acquisition of a Gameboy was never much of a distraction from the dice game. I think I've always liked figuring probability. I'd probably pick it up at $5, which I could do today if I felt so inclined (and had an iPad).

For a second, I read the headline and thought it was an app that would bitch at you with an accent for six minutes because you're not playing Prince of Persia or an RPG on PC. The dice game is much more entertaining!

I spend waaaaaaaaaay too much time on the Escapist.

This is the first time in years that Yahtzee meant THE GAME when mentioned on the
'net.
