Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

Well, not all. But it does have some shortcut buttons that you can load up with complex combos and retrigger at a touch.

Check out the video above of the XCM Dominator Joystick for PS3, from TotalConsole. It shows how easy it is to tap in a combo, save it to one of the memory buttons, and then retrigger it. Of course, you'll get no respect using this in a fighting game tourney, but I could see how it would be fun to have four preloaded hard-to-do moves set up, ready to go.

They joystick also has independent button rapid fire fuction, too. Oh, and it lights up at its base. It looks like the joystick will run for $79.99.

And the buttons are nice and small and out of the way, preventing both accidental and intentional triggers in the heat of the moment.

I have a Soul Calibur 2 stick with a program function that I never got to work properly. Actually that stick is kind of ass and I never use it, I should sell it.

looks pretty but in the time you have to reach for the button to do a combo, I could've already did said combo.

just saying. Also think it's funny they show VF of all games. But yea. This crap won't go far in a tournament scene seeing you aren't allowed to do said crap.

@ Shin Oni

Those auto combo buttons are way to small in my opinion, i can easily see myself slipping my fingers on to the wrong one, especially as you need to be looking at the screen while your doing it.

Plus i think this looks kinda tacky with the lights on it, in a sort of Pimp my ride we just replaced your handbrake with a neon strobe light sorta way.

That is borderline cheating, possibly not even borderline...

@Black Smoke

yea the buttons are rather small. The Lights IMO are cool but would be better off on the buttons. I've seen some pretty cool customs with good placements of lights. I just think having them at the base is rather pointless.

Why would you put the program recall buttons way at the top and on the wrong side?

This thing is terrible.

This just proves that certain fighting games were made for button mashers. I'm looking at you, Soul Calibur 4. Hopefully the next Tekken will be a step forward but I'm not getting my hopes up...

Dont get me wrong, if done right lights can really set a joystick off, like backlit buttons as you said. This however just looks like something soulja boy would have in his game room. I can hear him now

" Yo i gots the pimp ass joystick mo fo, got neons and all that shit. Its so sick i just press one button and it does all the work fo me, soulja boy tell em"

Mapping hard-to-pull-off combos to one button press is a crutch for noobs.

You hear me, guy who mapped Ivy's combos to shoulder buttons?! A CRUTCH!
