The Xbox 360 Summer of Arcade is back this summer for its fourth year. Again we'll get five weeks of summer downloadable gaming for Xbox Live Arcade.

Today we have the games and the dates we expect to see them. There's also a bonus for buying all five games: A free copy of Crimson Alliance (shown above), a 1200 MSP value. It's a four-player fast-action RPG from Certain Affinity. Here's the games you'll have to buy to get this bonus:

  • Bastion, July 20, 1,200 MSP
  • From Dust, July 27, 1,200 MSP
  • Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, August 3, 1,200 MSP
  • Fruit Ninja Kinect, August 10, 800 MSP
  • Toy Soldiers: Cold War, August 17, 1,200 MSP

I'm getting at least two of these. How many are you getting? Will you get all five to get Crimson Alliance?

A Sacred 3 developer apologizes for the game

Sacred 3 wasn't a very well received game; I felt it was an average and uninspired hack-'n'-slash game with some terrible attempts at humor. Comments on my review either sided on "hey, it's not too bad in co-op," to "this is ...more

The guy responsible for Xbox 360 banner ads says he's sorry

When I think of the dashboard on Xbox platforms, I think "ads, everywhere" -- but it wasn't always this way. In a blog post on Gamasutra, software developer Allen Murray writes about how he was "one of the people -- if not TH...more
