Responding to a reddit thread about download release times for Titanfall, Xbox Live's Major Nelson said that "A better digital experience is on the roadmap. Preloads, unlock by timezone etc. are all things we want to roll out for Xbox One. Those features are simply not available yet."

In the case of Titanfall, players who bought the game via digital distribution in the US had to wait until 12:00am Pacific -- even if they lived on, say, the East Coast. Silly, huh?

Slowly but surely, the console is coming together with features you'd expect. It's situations like this that have me feeling okay about not going all in at launch.
