Microsoft's huge Games on Demand sale starts today

The Xbox Live Ultimate Game Sale kicks off today. From now until March 4, Microsoft will be rolling out a new set of deals each day in an effort to part customers from their piles of ethereal moon bucks. Today's obvious standout is UTV Ignition's swansong as a developer, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron.

It's not without shortcomings, but El Shaddai is certainly one of the most unique games I've played in years. Outlandish, dreamlike visuals and a creative story based on the Judeo-Christian mythos make it one journey well worth experiencing. And for just $2.99? You can't get much of a better deal than that.

  • Dirt 2 ($29.99, $4.99 on sale)
  • GRID ($29.99, $4.99 on sale)
  • Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements ($19.99, $2.99 on sale)
