Soooo, its good that microsoft is announcing new shit. But shouldn't they address the hacking issue where actual money was taken?
I already have the new dashboard. Its VERY sleek and easy to use. Im not allowed to talk about the features but they're pretty cool. Glad to hear everyone will have it soon!
HBOGo dropped on the Roku a little while back, but DirectTV and Comcast are not supporting it (though they do support the PC and mobile apps). Any word if they will be supporting the 360/PS3 apps? I have a feeling they wont, which sucks....

I tought cloud storage would be the best feature, but you can't keep a backup of your saves in your HD. that basically means that if your net is down you can't load your saves. >_>

Also in beta and I don't hate it, I am still waiting to see the British TV support it is meant to be getting. I only have one criticism that I think is unavoidable.

I have the new dash and I hate it. Everything is buried in menus! Imagine trying to find something in your desk by opening every drawer, then when you find the drawer it's in, you pull the whole thing out and dump it on the floor. That's how the new dash works. God I hate this thing.
@BKV Also csnt have a copy of Forza 4 save. This sucks cause I lost my Forza 3 save and had to start over. Supposedly MS is punishing all players and cant copy game saves because cheaters create unlimited cash in Forza.
Didn't the dashboard just get an overhaul a little over a year ago? If the new one is better I'm all for it, but I don't have any problems with the current version.

Quit whining about the adverts. If you haven't notice Live has them now.

I have the beta dashboard right now, and it really is good. Much faster, cleaner, and looks cool too. Also it's actually better with adverts, you don't have to scroll through them this time and no annoying video adverts either! So yeah, whoever complains - man up.
The ui design looks real nice but the most important thing is that it's snappy.. I hope the animated transitions are appropriate and there's no lag for opening menus like the current dash.
I'm also in the beta program. It looks sleek and it works great with a controller, but if you had a premium theme... I feel for you.
The new dashboard is faster, easier to navigate and has everything in the appropriate place. The beacon system and cloud storage is fantastic, as is the UFC addition.

Why the hell does the "play game" option sit inside a link no bigger than a pack of matches and then next to that is a huge AD box about 6 times bigger. So I goto play Battlefield 3 and I have a huge "COME ON, BUY CALL OF DUTY ELITE, ITS SUPER COOL" ad-box right next to it. Fuck you Microsoft, I bought Battlefield so I wouldn't have to be bombarded with ads by Activision telling me to buy COD elite!

I'm in the beta as well. I didn't like the update initially. After some time with it though, it really combines the best of what all prior dashboards offered. It has the speed of the Blades (once you realize you can use the left/right bumpers!), with the visual upgrade of the NXE.
Some things are a bit tough to find at first, but remember, you have Bing now which also searches through your content as well as content available on Xbox LIVE.

@Dhaos They weren't just phishing scams. My account got taken for around 5600 M$ points. No idea how. Fortunately I saw it happen and was able to change all my info and contact M$ support within 15 minutes of the "attack". I work in IT for a living, so believe me, I'm extremely wise to social engineering, phishing, etc. etc. so I wasn't "being dumb".

I'm on the beta, and (because of stupid contracts) I'll make this short: Bing is insanely accurate. Voice Controls can do EVERY feature that you can do with a controller. Cloud Storage is amazing. And on top of that, you get notifications every time someone plays the game you're playing.

I wish I could talk about the issues this update has but I'm not going to be one of those people who break their agreement, even if it's killing me to want to say SOMETHING.
As much as I want to like it, it just feels like a mess right now, and it has almost nothing to do about the way it looks. I really, honesty, think the release date isn't realistic.

Don't let nostalgia get the best of you, the blades sucked as soon as any content whatsoever started getting added to Xbox Live. That is why it changed.
And technically you still have a mini-blade system overlapping the current UI...press the menu button in the middle of your controller and it pops right up
