Only thing that really made me wish I haddn't bought the second game new was the single achievement for Zaeed that I missed -which is to say it wasn't much of a wish at all, since I saved like 75% on the game..
So like, are there still people gullible enough to think that this content wasn't ripped off the disc to be held at ransom, or do they still think "NO NO NO THEY ONLY CREATED THIS CONTENT AFTER THE DISCS WERE PRINTED AND SHIPPED"
Does anyone else find it to be BS how they make a game, and make DLC before it seven released. Its just excluding stuff from the game, stuff that could of been part of the main game and w/e, just to make us pay more for it. DLC should be things made after the games released based on consumer input, not just part of the game you have to pay more for >_>.

I bought Mass Effect 2 brand new, however once I downloaded the cerberus network content, it said I had to be online to play my file because I had to be logged in to the cerberus network to access the dlc and the dlc was linked to my save file. I didn't have easy access to the internet and had to restart my ME2 file, to this day I can't play any of that content unless I am hooked up to Xbox live, even though I bought the game new. Fuck online passes.

Not a spoiler if a DLC splash screen was always how this info was planned on being revealed. Now I get a few weeks to ponder it, instead of just the hour download/install period before I can start playing the game. I can prepare for being irritated.
It's not a mistake. This is being done purposely. The DLC is not free for new purchases, it is only free for the collectors edition, but available for purchase day one.

@Catmurder, if you don't like a book, don't read it. If you don't like a movie, don't watch it. If you don't like a game, don't play it. Your opinions in general have little impact on the way media develops or is created, so until you get a job at Bioware that supersedes Hepler's position you have no right to criticize her work, and no one has the right to use distance and anonymity to harass people based on creative differences. Get into fanfic if your vision of the future of the series differs wildly from what the team at Bioware is developing, and be prepared for the same kind of predatory wackjobs telling you to fuck off for having ideas. Maybe Hepler's not the best writer, and doesn't understand how internet PR works, but being a jerk in response solves nothing.

I say that it's pretty shitty to show the new squad mate in the banner of the DLC, as it's quite the spoiler indeed. But to be honest, if you want a spoiler-free experience you shouldn't be looking that much into info about the game anyway.

To be totally fair, you don't really know how much it is Bioware's going as much as it is EA's DLC-shenanigans. But even if this wasn't about DLC, I'm still quite disappointed how Bioware is handling the Mass Effect franchise. Especially the plot.

I really don't like how they turned the Reapers from a mysterious, terrifying enemy to laughable, how silly the Collectors were and how fucking terrible that human-robot was. And though I had high-hopes for ME3 to redeem itself, the Reaper-invasion demo level just felt like one half-assed B-movie. From the actual events to the lines itself and that whole thing with the kid. Everything felt cheap and condensed. For me, it totally didn't work as a proper intro.
Well, at least they significantly improved the combat from the original game and most character conversations are still pretty great (apart from the ME3 demo).
But whatever, just me and some ramblings.

Oh and of course the whole "take Earth back!"-premise of ME3 just ticks me off. Here you are, setting up a huge sprawling universe with Earth being nothing more than a blip on the radar for the past two games, only to have people suddenly care about the Earths fate in the third one? Why? What emotional investment do I have towards planet Earth *in the games*? There's a much more interesting universe out there, and according to the lore, humanity is rather insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Ugh, I just hate the setup as it should be just one of many planets getting attacked. Why so much focus on Earth? It just seems like a cheap cop-out to get people ticked off: "RARW YOU'RE DESTROYING EARTH, OUR PLANET, ASSHOLES!"
Now of course it won't stop me from playing the game, as I am really curious to see how the series will wrap up. But all in all, there's just so much stuff that doesn't make sense, at all.

I heard EDI joins your squad too. Is this true? 'Cause that's kinda cool. I wonder if she'll possess a Geth or something in order to have a body.
Also, with EDI and the bonus character, we are already at a grand total of 7 confirmed characters that do not include Tali Z'orah. I am willing to bet by left testicle and a lifetime supply of RC Cola that she will be a special DLC quest that allows you to freak her up and reveal her face - like how Liara was only in ME2 because of Lair of the Shadow Broker.

As for the mass effect 3 example...why wouldn't Shepard want to invest as much energy protecting earth, the source of humanity, than any other colony planet? Also, the reapers haven't attacked earth in ME 1 or 2 so that justifiably explains the lack of earth missions this far.

As for me, I'm up their on day 1, I love the series so far and can't wait to see the trilogy's end.
