Xbox Live Arcade games jumping on Avatar bandwagon photo

When Avatars were first announced, the question on every 360 gamer's lips was: "CAN I HAVE MY AVATAR THE BOMBERMANS!?" Well, that burning issue has finally been resolved, as Microsoft confirms that Bomberman Live will be one of the five XBLA titles to incorporate Avatars on the New Xbox Experience's November 19 launch.

Bomberman Live, UNO!, Hardwood Hearts and Hardwood Spades will use Avatars in their game menues and lobbies, while a fifth brand new XBLA game will have the dubious honor of being the first ever game to allow playable Avatars. My instincts tell me that this new game will be gimmicky shovelware designed for the sole purpose of incorporating Avatars, but I could be wrong.

In addition, an update will be available for Scene It? Box Office Smash on the NXE's launch date, allowing for Avatar use.

And aren't you all just super excited for that?

I guess I just dont understand the evil behind these avatars. Am I personally excited for them? No. But do I loathe the fact they they are soon to exist? No. It adds another little level of customization to the 360 experience and could probably entertain younger gamers for quite awhile. AT least they are incorporating them into XBLA games instead of only menus. Then there is some actual use for them instead of just on the dashboard.

They were pretty well implemented in Scene It imo, I'm kinda glad I won't have to look at the same 4 avatar assholes in that game forever :)

@Mr Wilson
I don't get why the xbox needs them. The typical halo gamer isn't interested in that kinda stuff, if he was he would own a wii.
I don't get why microsoft can't focus on it's own marked
