I've been sold on this game since the very first video that showed your character being able to jump on a gryphon's back and stab him in the neck! How can anyone not be sold on this game?

Excited about this demo. Would love a good rpg I could sink my teeth into. Excited and apprehensive about inflicting cruelty upon large beasts.
I wasn't sold on this game until I played the demo, it was freaking great. The prologue quest was entertaining for a bit, especially getting the parry and grapple mechanics down, and it was fun.
Now the countryside quest was just what made me go preorder the game.
I made a pawn called "Vergil" before doing any of the quests, and he didn't appear in the prologue quest, but in the countryside quest he appeared with my custom main character, and he was wearing BLUE like the DMC Vergil, and then when fighting the creature you have to kill for that mission, he did a team move with my main character, and after accomplishing it, he said Jackpot.
You couldn't imagine the joy on my face when he said that. I wonder if the other Capcom names would have tiny Easter eggs like that.
Imagine naming a pawn Zangief, and then he does a Spinning Pile Driver as one of his skills.
I'm excited for this game now.

I have a Gold account, and Ill be trying the demo, but I still think its stupid to make free demos only for Gold users.
I spent to long in the character creator and I only played the prologue. It's what I thought the game would be like.

The demo is a little lacking with only two quests, but the character gen is awesome. I hope the characters you make from the demo go into the main game. I enjoyed the two quests and i'm sold on this game now.
The only disappointing thing about the demo is that it does a bad job at showing the difficulty. The gear you get and the [supposed] level you are is enough to make both major fights easy.
That aside, it does a good job showing off mechanics like setting a Griffin on fire to keep it grounded.

The mere fact that I was able to make the statuesque musclebound Macho Maiden and her diminutive roly-poly sidekick Milk rather than pick between anorexic and bulimic (whose representatives I would be obliged to name Anorexia and Bulimia) to cripple and kill a Griffin with(paving the way for the events of Dragon Age through the magic of historical cross-over,perhaps?),at times riding on its back mid-flight to cut it down practically makes this game a must-buy for me (barring revelations of some further malfeasance from Capcom)by itself.

I don't know why people can't just support good honest games and not support games to rip you off, instead of foolishly shutting off support of a company. It does nothing.

People could always just...ya know buy the game and not buy the DLC? The game is already supposed to be pretty substantial and as shown by past efforts there's rarely been worthwhile DLC in general. Barring Shivering Isles or Old World Blues.
Not to sound like a fanboy, but people complaining about the demo being only for GOLD members on the 360 shouldn't be surprised. You basically need GOLD to do anything on the 360, except for playing offline games.
