Recently Valve announced that the Xbox 360 version of Team Fortress 2 (packaged in the Orange Box collection) is receiving a “massive” update that will “include pretty much everything” that Valve has “shipped on the PC in the last year.” That includes classes, levels, and weapons upgrades that 360 owners haven’t been able to touch thus far.
The posting on the official TF2 blog cautions that no date has been confirmed for the content, but we’re sure plenty of players are excited about their forgotten console port of the popular multiplayer game. In addition to the Xbox 360 news, the posting also provides information on an abundance of content for the PC version that should roll out “within the next few days.”
Players will be able to upgrade Teleporters and Dispensers to level 3, as well as recharge their cloaking ability as a Spy by picking up stray ammo. Valve also informed readers that the next big class pack will feature the Scout. Last, but not least, Valve will be porting some of their engine improvements from Left 4 Dead into TF2 to ensure that players have an easier time building turrets outside of spawn points.

The Spy tweak is something people have been requesting forever. The disguises are useless so spies really needed a way to recharge cloak. The engineer tweaks will hopefully make some maps like goldrush less defense focused with faster teleports. The defense on the other hand gets improved dispensers... Hmm this could be interesting.

Kinda surprised it is scout tho, I guess he has been kinda popular in the vids lately, but still, I was sure it was soldier.
Disguises are really damn useless now thanks to how paranoid everybody is. I've seen people spychecking empty corners, and while it wouldn't make a difference with disguises, it's still kind of odd.
Of course, I didn't get a chance to work with it yet. Spy update=asstons of spies=spychecks galore. I'm too lame to deal with that.
The PS3 version is perfectly fine from what my friends have told me.
Valve should toss in some servers to the 360 crowd, because that's unacceptable.
TF2 games are much more fun when it's like 16 vs. 16. Also, there are 9 classes. 8 vs 8 just doesn't cut it.
In any case I play mostly on the PC, woo Scout!
Getting the post-release content on the 360 version would be mana from heaven at this point (yes the game is better on PC).
And I must disagree with Vexex Alex, I find 32 man servers of TF2 to be ridiculous and a waste of time. I think the sweet spot is 18 total.
My two cents: Buff (well, un-nerf) PC spy's sapper damage. On 360 Demos could use some more balancing (maybe a little nerfage, or at least airblast for pyros)
Alright, thanks for the heads up. That's in line with what I've been finding on the internet. Seems like it was just the "review" build that had the big problems with it, or 1up just being their nitpicking selves haha.
Now I need to find time to pick it up and play it :(

No one said you'd have to pay for it. I realize Microsoft's track record isn't good here, but you never know. Valve has been getting on MS's good side, of late. They're promising one massive update, and that sounds like just that -- an update, as opposed to DLC. And even if it's ten bucks, all the PC updates put together would be more than worth it.
Also, you PC gamers are fucking blowholes. Eat a dick, plz.
Also, the whole "PC vs. 360" argument is silly, but I certainly wouldn't mind larger servers to play on, since 16 vs. 16 sounds awesome.

The first time I tried it on 360 though, I was greeted by a sentry gun submerged in the ground, which pissed me off. I also noticed there were no updates. This is definitely overdue. Very excited about the scout update as well, I'm sure it'll make me ply that class more often, as each of the other updates have on PC.
Also, I agree 100 percent with the Spy thing.. I've seen people rape with spy but I could never do it. Us non-espionage inclined players could use some help.
I've come up with a few ideas, like.. How about something to help against pyros, like perhaps a personal shield or something? It's impossible to play spy when there are pyros on the opposite team..
I never played it on PS3 before the patch, but I haven't noticed any problems with it.
Just the usual Source bugs.

are they taking the piss? why keep announcing that they are gonna finally update the 360 version but never give a date. i just wish they would shut up until the date is confirmed.
vexed alex made the point about 360 servers and i totally agree. 8v8 on ANY map is always more fun imo but if you remember before they gave us the bandwith update, users with a good enough connection could host 12v12 games. No reason why they cant put that back in to the next update.
plus get rid of these hackers! i thought the 360 version would be safe from them. valve seem to be easily broken into what with L4D getting spoilt aswell.

Also, I've noticed of late games where people can jump hundreds of feet in the air, regardless of their class which is simply lame.
I'm not being an ass I'm stating a fact. Whether you like it or not this game was developed for the PC then consoles. On PC we've had fuck noes how many updates and will continue to get more. You could count on one hand the amount of updates there have been for the consoles. You starting to see a pattern here yet?
