Xbox 360 version of Sacred 2 hits stores May 12 photo

So, it’s official official -- Sacred 2 is hitting consoles on May 12. This afternoon the developer, cdv Software Entertainment, announced the Xbox 360 version of the game’s new gold status and then confirmed that the title would indeed by hitting in May. (You now have a little under a month to get your clicking fingers ready for some real punishment.)

Missing from the announcement was the release date for the PlayStation 3 version of the game. We contacted cdv about the lack of information and a rep told us "The PS3 version is just a few days behind the 360 as far as certification goes. We're positive it'll ship to retail on the same day and date as the 360 version."

If you’re curious about Sacred 2 -- a decent Diablo II clone with some technical issues -- check out our review of the PC version. The game is on my wish list, for sure. What about you guys?

I have the PC collector's edition already, like Brad said, it's...decent. There's nothing really inspiring about this game. It's really just a 3D version of Diablo, not that it's bad or anything. The PC version had a lot of annoying bugs, but the console version will probably fix that.

Gripes about the game? Too much travelling on foot in the map and the map is huge. Also the story is...bleh. But you aren't going to play this game for the story I hope.

I have played Diablo 2 for a few years before I took a long hiatus from it. Seeing this, it does seem like an alright throwback to that game. I will admit that the locations are pretty and the maps are huge, but at the same time, you will have to deal with a few bugs here and there.

I am willing to rent it and give it a playthrough or two. I haven't had any chance to see the bugs for myself but I'm hoping it isn't as bad as I've heard.
