hopefully videos won't look like washed-out garbage now. I tell ya, a few weeks ago I started watching a movie on my ps3, then watched it on my xbox, and everything on the xbox just looked pale and gray. I was a sad panda. :(
Uh oh. If Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning's color palette looked that vibrant with its colors muted,its full range might be the digital equivalent of skewering one's eyeballs with a box full of sharpened colored pencils.
The dashboard may look better on a chromatic scale, but in terms of aesthetics, it is still the same boring bunch of cyber cubes floating over a murky swamp of gray gloom that it has been for months.

Using the same connection? (Hdmi, etc) Maybe it is a problem with a cable and not the console itself.

Hmm, either I got used to it or I thought they fixed it a few weeks ago. Either way, my videos haven't looked like the same garbage as they did. Happy they managed to get on it though, instead of making us wait till the next update to do it.
And, what Paroxysm said, even if I'm sure the answer to that is "use a kinect".. Still think they should have made voice searching simply a microphone thing, and not a kinect based microphone thing.
Also, what Excel said.. I'm kind of disappointed.

Even though I know Faux's statement is dripping with scarasim, the problem isn't with the video output in general, its an issue with VIDEOS played on the XBL being washed out. Like if you were to watch one of the Microsoft's unnessary and boring "shows" or even a video on YouTube.

@BoomingEchoes Interesting point you bring up. A lot of people do have a kinect. Now maybe I haven't been properly explained how to use it but using voice commands isn't exactly intuitive and certainly isn't faster than buttons. Motion control for the menus isn't even worth mentioning.
Eh my brain was misfiring that last post. I meant to say a lot of people do say that the design is made for kinect not that a lot of people have a kinect. It's true I guess but pointless to say. I'll just go kill myself.
How about fixing Youtube on XBL so that it doesn't crash every 30 seconds to a minute into using it?! How about making the Zune music and video downloads actually do something?! Especially if I have a Zune plugged into it! And fix the whole menu system! You've made something that was once fairly easy to navigate excessively complicated like a browser full of unclosable drop down menus! Assholes.
