So this means that game is written from a 360 standpoint meaning it'll be subpar on the PC and PS3. Oh well at least we can play it this time around. WOo a sequel that will look way worse then the original
Lame. Were is all EA's love for PS3? I hate playing on 360. So many advertisements. I've had a 360 since launch and seeing what it has become in the past year just makes me sad. I can't stand xbox anymore.
I agree with Matthew. I used to like the 360 quite a bit, but it's changed for the worse, as far as I'm concerned. And this "Gold Members Only" bullshit kills me. Do that with content, fine, but not demos. You know, those FREE things?

I hate exclusives. I own most of the current gen consoles but timed exclusives, or exclusives in general are just annoying. It alienates people and just in general breeds hate from everyone besides the group that gets if early. It gives everyone an elitist attitude: "oh you want these new Black Ops maps now? Too bad you own a P(iece) (of) S(hit)3 you have to wait so obviously my console us better than your!"

When that Crytek boss came out with all his douchey "this will be the most graphically awesomest game evar!" comments around this game's announcement, I was immediately turned off the title.
Unless all my gaming friends pick this up and it becomes a thing it's destined to be another AAA FPS rental for me - and likely for a lot of other people, too.

Why the exclusivity? Why 360? Where's the PC love? Still, I'll give it a shot. I really didn't like the first game, but the E3 trailer at least showed some promise.
@acsguitar: Cryengine 2 is designed to create games for pc/ps3/360. There is no porting or slopping coding jobs, it actually compiles specifically for each platform. So no, it wont be subpar simply because it has a demo on the 360.
I find it a little strange that Crytek have neglected the PC market, though, arguably their largest demographic. Oh well, the game looks fun enough. I'll be giving it a buy after it's price lowers a little.

Fact: there's not nearly this amount of whining when PSN gets a demo first/exclusively. Remember Castlevania: LoS? The Marvel vs. Capcom 2 demo that was only available on PSN before release?

An exclusive demo, a demo like the thing you use to establish the fact that your game is NOT shit, AKA the thing you want in as many hands as possible.

And payed to have Joker as pathetic "extra" content in Batman challenge rooms, and the same company, Warner Brothers, has Kratos is their other game, Mortal Kombat. If I was as pathetic as most ps3 fanboys, but in reverse, I'd say Sony moneyhatted WB. Especially since most WB games sell more on 360; so there's obviously another factor.

Honestly, I don't know why companies even do exclusive demos. For rather obvious reasons it would be better for everyone to be able to try it. More sales, more fans. It's a win-win situation.
Thats a bitch move EA.... what if all PS3 and PC owners who are batshit crazy for this game suddenly took on the attitude that since our system of choice is not good enough for a demo, your game doesn't deserve a full purchase.
