British retailer Zavvi is having a last minute Christmas sale for anybody interested in a cheap Xbox 360, selling Microsoft's sturdy and reliable system for a mere £99. This is of course for the Arcade SKU.
The Premium 360 is £149.99, while the Elite model has been cut to £199.99. You can also nab a PlayStation 3 for £269.99. These prices are in effect up until Christmas Day.
Games are also available on the cheap, such as Gears of War 2, which is retailing for a mere £19.99.
"Our organization believes in giving our customers the best deal and service," states a Zavvi rep. "We've put in place some great offers on Xbox hardware, giving customers the best value possible in the run up to Xmas. We appreciate how people's wallets are being tightened because of the economy."
This is the second time the 360 Arcade has been so cheap in the UK. Sainsbury's was the first do it.
