Puzzle Quest. Starting now through Monday, people can download -- courtesy of Microsoft -- the LIVE Arcade release at a brilliant price of 400 Microsoft Points instead of the usual 800 Microsoft Banana Dollars. This is a 50 percent savings, people.
I rubbed
Puzzle Quest all on my gums over a period of a few weeks. It has the puzzle game thing -- that unexplainable awesomeness that keeps people playing and wanting more despite needing to do something more productive.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with
Puzzle Quest, think about it like this: it’s like Bejeweled with avatars and various RPG elements like a map system, a story, and even experience points.
I find it hard to believe that someone reading this doesn’t own
Puzzle Quest on some sort of mobile device or console. Are any of you considering a purchase?

Just an FYI regarding the DS version of this game: I have the DS version and although I love it dearly, it does have some issues. Basically the screen shot shown up above would not be fluid on the screen - it would be choppy as all heck. Normally that bit of chop and lag would be fine, but if you were interested in doing the timed challenges (like to obtain a new mount) it can really hinder your game play.
I am most definitely going to pick this up on XBLA.
I just need a new friggin' hard drive to make room for stuff.
I bought it like two weeks ago. The need to reprice the expansion; at 700 points it made sense when the game was originally 1200, but now with the deal of the week it is MORE then the original game!
Just saying. But if you've never played this game, you really should buy it for $5. It's a fantastic timesink, and chicks dig it! :P
