Considering the success of last year's title, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was a given. The game has been announced today for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and looks to provide more of the same as the first title ... just with more of everything.
“Bad Company 2 takes everything that players liked in the original and ups the ante – more vehicles, more destruction and more team play,” said Executive Producer Karl Magnus Troedsson, without revealing too many details.
If you can't wait for the winter release of Bad Company 2, keep an eye out for Battlefield 1943 on Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC this summer. Taking it back to World War II, the game supports 24 players online, and three locations: Wake Island, Guadalcanal, and Iwo Jima.
Question: Is anyone out there still playing the first
Bad Company? Does this news make you feel all warm inside?
This news seriously warms my cockles.
I for one, will not be spending my money on another generic military shooter.
Surprisingly, the terrain and building damage wasn't a gimmick. It was actually essential to the gameplay. I just wish there was a crawl option. That could have made the craters made by explosives a lot more useful.
ow wait...
I do hope they improve the bot support a little bit though (instead of removing it), the co-op mode was a lot of fun in spite of the ridiculously stupid AI.
