X10: Updates on Final Fantasy XIII bundle, also faceplate photo

Here's what the Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 faceplate looks like. Created by Square Enix designer Tetsuya Nomura, these plates are super limited in number. The are "only available promotionally in fixed quantities across select retailers in Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand." So you'll have to fight for one, I guess.

We already told you about the Xbox 360 bundle, but here are the official details. It includes a 250GB hard drive Xbox 360, two wireless controllers and the game. There will also be "exclusive downloadable avatar items." The bundle will hit shelves on March 9th for $399.

We have images of all the above mentioned items in our gallery below. Check out the sweet Final Fantasy XIII logo on the hard drive! Love that little touch.

I never thought I'd say this, but...that's a faceplate that I would actually spend money on.

Any word on a collector's edition (I'm a sucker for those)?

Pretty sweet that the power button is between her legs. I guess gamers have to touch pussy somehow, haha.

Man, I wish I needed another 360.

The HDD is cool, but I have the MW2 console. The faceplate is cool, but I don't have a white console. The avatar stuff I'd go for too.

@seltzermx

Major Nelson's post on X10 stated that the 360 Final Fantasy XIII bundle would come with a Standard Edition copy of the game, which implies that there will indeed be a limited/collectors edition of the game. I figure that they'll announce it this Saturday to go along with their 'announce some stuff every 13th day of each month leading up to launch' campaign.

As for the faceplate itself, I like it. I figure I'll pick one up if I find one, even though it will clash with my black Elite.

@ThunderHeartXI: Nice catch with the "Standard" thing, totally went over my head. And yeah, I guess the 13th makes sense if thats hwen they do updates.

@Coafi: It's a fucking joke; learn to have a sense of humor. I must obviously also be a gamer if I am on a gaming site looking at game-related info. Jesus Christ.

Maybe you wouldn't be wound up so tight if you went and touched something other than a controller...and yourself. Haha.

I'm still mystified that companies don't exploit the faceplate thing more often. They'd make a great component of a special edition release. Or if sold separately, charge an non-dumbass amount, like $10. $20 is just ridiculous.

You'd be amazed what you can touch when a girl has her legs crossed. Protip: lady parts are lower than dude parts. The real problem isn't the legs being crossed but if she's sitting on the chair instead of on the edge of it.

Anyway, I want a 360. I'd prefer to wait for the Splinter Cell Bundle as I actually want that game, FFXIII is going to be bought on my PS3 for the legacy of FF Games I am been able to play on the thing (1-12 -11). We'll see if I can hold out when it drops though, that HDD Font setting is slick. And I'd rather have a permanent FFXIII on there than a Splinter Cell. That series isn't as cool to me.

That faceplate sure looks lame. Plus, standing your 360 up like that is a good way to get all of your discs ruined.

Meh, I wish we'd gotten the ps3 that Japan got, or they painted up the 360 the same way. This is cool, but still kind of a let down.
