Activision is preparing to launch X-Men: Destiny across North America tomorrow, and has released a trailer today! How's that for a wacky coincidence?
If you're not in the know, Destiny is an action/RPG from the fine folks at Silicon Knights. You can pick one of three characters and make all sorts of choices with them, hence the game's name. Reactions have been lukewarm on the game so far, but we should be getting our review copy today or tomorrow and will endeavor to provide a summary soon.
Jim Sterling serves as reviews editor for Destructoid.com, head of the Podtoid podcast, and produces a number of news stories, original features, one-of-a-kind videos. With his passionate argumentative style, controversial opinions, harsh delivery, and dedication to brutal honesty Sterling is a name that you can't help but recognize.

Meet the rest of the team
Wow, didn't realize this was coming out tomorrow. Well, sorry, Silicon Knights. Team Ico HD comes out tomorrow and then after that Splinter Cell HD. Just don't have time really and truthfully not that interested. Still curious to see how it does in reviews.
You'll finish playing this game in 5 hours. The choices don't "really" matter as all that changes a few times are your teammates, but I disappointed in the game, I thought a SKnights game would be much better.
I'm so glad I didn't have to spend $60 on this, if I was buying it, I'd wait until it hit the $10 mark.
Which should be soon >_> I have more hope for Spider-Man EoT, and I just know that game will be better than this, but still bug infested :(
Being a big X-Men fan I gotta admit.....I have no interest in this game. The fact that I would have to play as one of three generic looking mutants rather then any of the real X-Men or at least my own created mutant is a big turn off.
It feels like they have been hiding this game. It releases tomorrow with no buildup and no one has seen this in action. If this exact (X-men + Silicon Knights) release had been in the works a few years ago it would have been on the front page of every gaming media outlet. No way will this be good and that is a shame, but maybe i get pleasantly surprised...
I'm the same. I loved the 1st X-Men Legends game, the 2nd not so much.
Too many non-X-Men characters like Iron Man etc.
The art direction in this game looks terrible, and the fact you can neither design your own character from scratch or play as real X-Men rather than 2nd stringers makes this a no-buy from me.
meh, not doin' anything for me and the under the radar release scares me off... not to mention, if I'm going to buy an X-men game, I plan on playing as one of the X-men.
Since it seems the reviews won't come out until after the games released I'll take that as a bad sign. Kinda like there waiting for the diehards to buy it before they get a chance to find out how bad it is. Hopefully I'm wrong, but my gut says I'm right.
Like other I'm waiting to see reviews on this. I'm intrigued by some parts but I'm wondering if the story and controls are good or not. Graphics aren't as big of a concern to me if it keeps my interest storywise and I'm not banging my head because of terrible controls / gameplay
I was interested when they showed the first batch of traillers. Then they showed that you can't create your own mutants so now I'll wait on a few reviews
