No one said you had to buy this game or watch the movies. Quit bitching about a genre a lot of people love, not to mention the fact that Comic-Con is in full run right now so obviously it's that time of year.
I don't read the comics, never have, I've checked out all the films, and this doesn't even seem like X-Men. I thought the whole point was that the mutants have these powers that they can refine but not evolve. Which in turn forces them to work together to maximize potential success, hence the men part of the title. This looks like a shit InFamous/Prototype clone from a dev that really doesn't seem to know what they are doing. Surely the X-Men brand is perfectly suited for co-op gameplay.

Actually they are 'evolved' which is the reason for their powers. They are the next step of evolution thus calling themselves "Homo-superior". Half can't control their powers, especially when they are young or just experiencing them. The "X" is for Xavier. Some will argue it's because of the "X" gene however.
There are different mutants other than the X-Men. Sure working as a team makes them stronger but their are plenty that are "cosmic" level strong alone. Ugh. I'm a nerd.

Rise of the Imperfects was pretty awesome too. It wasn't necessarily an X-Men game, but it shared common themes.
