Silicon Knight's X-Men Destiny has a release date: September 27. The date was revealed in the San Diego Comic-Con trailer for the title, which is currently exclusive to GameTrailers.

The upcoming title has players taking on the role of one of three amateur mutants new to the X-Men fold. Old favorites will make an appearance in the action game, as well, including Wolverine, Gambit, Nightcrawler, and that nasty pain in the ass Magneto.

X-Men Destiny is one of Activison's Marvel titles, the other being Spider-Man: Edge of Time, which was just announced to be hitting this October.
