Though.. I wonder what Jim will say about this..
however this looks to have improved so... you never know.
I'm interested, but I'll keep my expectations low.
One of the few game along with homefront that were so bad that I returned.
(I usually keep all my games since I like collecting)
I know how you feel, I literally gave my copy of re5 to a friend after a couple of hours of playtime because it was so awful.
@epic
And you just like every game in existence, so of course you liked this. You prolly think E.T. (the alien game, not the nazi one) was one of the most mind blowing experiences for its time.
@Hermes
I think it was just that no one really cared about it.
i really don't like the typical bitching from people who expect every single game to have the budget of Gears of War, Elder Scrolls or Call of Duty and be "epic" - this game was made on a very low budget. if i remember X-Blades development costs were like between 0.5-1mln$ and it seems like Gaijin got much bigger budget this time around. though i really hope they will have skin from original game as an unlockable.
not every game needs to be an equivalent of Transformers movies to be good and fun.
Metro 2033 was easily the best shooter of 2010 and it didn't need to resolve to cheap thrills that are so popular in big AAA titles - it was made on ridiculously low budget, but developers embraced it. it made huge profit during its launch week and THQ few days later announced that there will be a sequel that looks spectacular. Gaijin makes really good games(Wings of Prey/Birds of Prey was great arcade/sim flight game) and Blades of Time looks pretty damn cool and quite original with its time manipulation gameplay.
2nd though is that it looks surprisingly awesome.
I don't care too much for hack and slash type games. But I wouldn't turn down a demo.
OTHERWISE, the game looks ok. It won't be the best thing ever, but it won't be unbearably terrible either. I'll probably buy it once the price drops to like $20.
Because how else can you explain her new voice and looks. Really now.
I say we keep our fingers crossed that this one surprises us, as there's definitely potential there if the gameplay is good.
But one of the reasons I bought it was for the anime looks, and it doesn't look as interesting to me now that they've changed it.
Also it's obviously a new main character. You now play as Ayume, while the name was Ayumi in the first.
