X-Blades CLOTHING SITUATION UPDATE! photo

Regular readers of Destructoid will know that I have been keeping tabs on the latest clothing developments in X-Blades. Specifically, I have regularly been letting you know that she isn't wearing many clothes. This situation has remained the same in all our X-Blades updates -- except this one!

Yes, it has been confirmed that the sauced up strumpet who believes that battling in a bra is practical WILL change her clothes. This is the first time one of my running jokes has turned ironic, as the unchanging clothing situation has actually changed.

X-Blades developer, Gaijin Entertainment, is expanding Ayumi's wardrobe with new sets or armor, and adding a slew of new gunblades to her arsenal! At the game's beginning, Ayumi is limited to her "sexy" outfit that fans have come to know and love. However, things start to open up when new combat suits and bonus weapons are made available as they progress. Not only do they look good, they have special properties as well! For example, players will be able to choose between a regenerative outfit or a protective outfit. Depending on which has been selected, Ayumi will either have her life bar build up faster or damage from enemy attacks will be lessened. When properly equipped, Ayumi will be extra prepared for the challenges that await!

Considering nobody actually got with this particular running gag, only I am actually amused right now, but that's never stopped me before. I henceforth declare this news to be the best news posted on a Saturday ever. In October. Of 2008. At 1:09AM in the morning. British time.

Now go check out the pictures. The new clothes are still not practical.

They mention a "protective outfit", but I don't know which one that could possibly be.

Hmmm...so she starts out half naked and then as you progress through the game she gains more and more clothing.
