WTF: World of Warcraft 'jam' coming to Guitar Hero III as DLC

12:25 PM on 06.25.2008, Nick Chester 20 comments

     World of Warcraft

If you didn't think anything good was going to come out of the Activision/Blizzard merger, you were wrong. Dead wrong.

The World of Warcraft-inspired "hit" track "I Am Murloc" is coming to Guitar Hero III as downloadable content. Recorded by Blizzard's in-house band, Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftan, "I Am Murloc" namechecks the WoW universe, all over a crunchy metal tune.

The song will be available for download for both Xbox 360 and PlayStaton 3 rockers on June 26. No word on pricing, but since it's kind of an ad for their already ridiculous popular MMO, we'd like to hope "free."

[Update: No need to hope -- it will be free.]

Well I'm not a WoW player, nor do I care for metal music, but I still think that's pretty sweet.

That song is so bad, and not Powerglove "so bad" I mind you.

I feel embarrassed, being a WoW player and such.

Should I even ask "What about for the PC?" You'd figure a song advertising a PC game would also be advertised on the PC version of GH3....But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, we were given a shiney "downloadable content" button but no servers to get stuff off of.

The song isnt bad for a couple of vlizzard emplyees. But Sma Wise is a better artist. I want to buy GH3 now, well maybe if they include "rouges do it from behind."

Never played WOW, but I've played a lot of Guitar Hero. As long as it's free, I'll grab it.

I second that, should be for Rock Band. Then again, I think every song should be on Rock Band.
