Write Dtoid's 5-word Webby speech, win $1,000 cash! photo

Tuesday was awesome. I was away doing the nerdiest thing possible (at a Final Fantasy concert) when Destructoid was nominated for a Webby in the games-related category. Could you imagine my O-face?  I was floored. Speechless. Erect. It takes a lot of sweat and porn-sifting on Google Images to run this site; I'd like to thank our editorial and video team for this achievement. We certainly wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the Dtoid Community, and only you guys have the power to hurl us into the frying pan. I'm asking for your help today to bring that shiny corkscrew thing home for our editors!

Please vote for Destructoid in the Entertainment: Games-Related category

Ok, so here's where the contest comes in. We're asking the Dtoid community to also write our Webby speech.  The way it works is this -- you show up at this fancy gala and if you win, you get to give a five-word speech. No more, no less. Five words. You write it, we will recite it -- just keep it clean. Drop a comment on this page (not in the comments below) with what it should be. Also, please register with Dtoid_yourname so we know who you are. Example:

Dtoid_Niero: Robots steal your yobs, meng!

If we choose your speech, we'll send you a thousand dollars of cash straight out from under Chad Concelmo's mattress. If, by the grace of the heavens, we win both the People's Choice and the Games-related category, we'll give away another 1,000 bucks to the crafty wordsmith we quote. The contest is open to everyone worldwide. The last day to get your entry in is May 1. You can enter as many times as you'd like. Go apesh*t, actually. I think I'm leaning towards funny or random. Go for surrealist, poignant, and a little pervy. Please tag your comment as "Destructoid".

What happens if we don't win a Webby and can't give a speech? We'll double the pot for next year and roll over your entries. Nevermind that; just think happy thoughts and let's do this! Thanks, everyone, for your support -- our moms are retardedly proud.
