I don't know, I just couldn't get over the fact that they were pulling the ironic dramatic music for a game based on toys cars that turn into robots. Like I can kind of dig it for something like Gears of War...This almost seems like intentional self-parody. But, then again, I'm no Transformers fan.
meh didnt like it much nor the spiderman one. and whats with all game trailers having some big monster smack the camera before it cuts off to some title screen.
That is some robotic CG right there. It was rather emotional, especially when the dinosaur breathed fire.

Woah.That was gorgeous and well set up. I loved the little things and body language. Also gotta love the reverence for Grimlock. I like the tone in this. Gotta respectfully disagree with you dude. Yea they're toy cars that turn into robots, but that's reducing things to a dramatic level. You could reduce a lot of things to their base ideas and on paper they sound ridiculous or dull. Like X-men, brightly coloured dudes who figts a magnetic fellow. It's about the execution. In this case, we all know they're in a war spanning millions of years. I see no problem with applying this to a desperate turn in the war. Just my $0.02

if they do nothing else, I really hope the sequel has split-screen co-op. if Gears of war 3 can do it, so can Transformers.

I think this the origin of the Transformer Prime series transformers. It's not relevant to G1, Scramble City, Transformers Animated, the Bay Movies, Energon/Armada, Kissplayers, or any of the other weird various "flavors".
I like the whole one upmanship aspect:

According to the Game Informer coverage, Shockwave uses his space-bridge to begin scanning distant planets for resources and in doing so finds Earth. He's fascinated by the powerful reptiles that are Earth's dominant species at the time and decides to use captured Autobots as test subjects in trying to create Cybertronian versions of them.
That's the game's story anyway, different from the comics and cartoons, but at least it makes some sense.

Grimlock is also supposed to use a sword, toss enemies for ranged attacks and rely on 'rage' to transform BACK to a dinosaur because of faulty* modification. All of course if this hasn't changed from the info GI gave

I thought the music was horrible and didn't fit at all. The trailer itself was kinda cool, though.
But... no PC version? War for Cybertron was a shit port locked at 30fps with console tunnel vision. But the game was enjoyable nonetheless, and I'd have picked this up for $40. If they don't want my money, though, it's not like I don't have other games to spend it on.

Lol, over-dramatic transformers. Once you press start, all the drama disappears and youre stuck playing another High Moon Studios game.
Hopefully dark of the moon was a fluke and this on ups the ante from war for cybertron. Maynard needs to get back to making good music what's this generic apathetic nonsense way got better as it built but damn it sounded emo lame at the front
