WoW's new Scroll of Resurrection includes slick rewards

6:30 PM on 03.07.2012

Currently, active World of Warcraft players that send out a Scroll of Resurrection will now get a free faction-based Spectral mount, a Gryphon or Wind Rider, for bringing friends back into the game. What will really get your heart skipping beats, however, are the rewards for recipients.

First off, these returning players can select one character to be instantly boosted to level 80. Lazy, right? They can also optionally select to move a character to a new realm and faction for free.

Lastly, since you are going to level 80, Blizzard will upgrade the returning player's account with the latest expansions and patches, plus a week of free game time. There are a few restrictions -- the player must pay for a month of game time before the gift giver gets their reward, for instance -- but it's a nice offer overall.
