While we have no idea how far along Hollywood is in taking Naughty Dog's Uncharted to the big screen, it's at least on the mind of one person -- voice of Nathan Drake, actor Nolan North.
"[Hugh] Jackman is who I'd like to see," he says of X-Men's Wolverine and People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive."
"I think the producers would like to see Jackman, too, because he has that tough guy exterior," he explains on the OPM UK podcast. "There's also a lot going on behind his eyes. A lot of emotion and sensitivity on that brusque exterior, and he has great comic timing."
Sounds like somebody has a little crush! North is realistic about his chances of landing the role in the big budget Uncharted film saying that he understands "the reality of the business." The reality is that I think 95% of gamers would like to see Nathan Fillion get the role. But in that same reality, it's a certainty that Jackman attached would pull in more box office dollars.

But the more I think of it, Jackman would make a great Drake... as long as he doesn't pull any of his Wolverine-isms.
... but as TheDreadHawk said - I just don't think it will make a good movie. It's better left as a game.
(Please tell me someone else saw the intro to this week's Castle? Was that not the greatest moment in TV history!!)

I don't think Jackman can pull off witty well enough to be a good Drake.
It's really a shame. Nathan Fillion could be like an infinitely better Brenden Frasier.

Enough with the "Fillion's too old but I like Jackman!" stuff.
My girlfriend, upon first seeing Uncharted 2 said, "Wow, your dude looks just like Nathan Fillion!" And after hearing the dialog she asked me if the character was completely based on Fillion.
I can't imagine anyone else playing him ever.
And how old do you people think Drake is? I'm thinkin' around 30. But because of all the shit he's been through and beatings he's taken he'd look A LOT older =)
