Later this year, Electronic Arts will be releasing Army of Two: The 40th Day, the sequel to its popular third-person buddy shooter. Today, they've released a trailer, all of which EA claims is in-game footage.
In it we see a war-torn Shanghai, complete with explosions, gunfire, and bodies. We're introduced to the 40th Day initiative. It's all very serious. Until the end, when a one-liner which blows the solemn tone of the trailer. But that's not to say I didn't chuckle a bit. Because I did. Hey, I like to laugh at inappropriate times.
Army of Two: The 40th Day is set to his the PlayStation 3, Xbox, and PlayStation Portable this Winter. What you'll see after the jump is most certainly not in-game footage from the PSP version, unless EA knows something we don't.
You know, I fucking LOVED the first one. Sure it was just kind of a generic shooter, but the co-op was fun and the over-the-top stupid "bromance" angle was fucking hilarious. If this game doesn't have a "bro" button I don't think I want to play it.
It's ridiculous that people are so embarrassed to admit to being entertained by something entertaining that they have to attack it and make EA change the thing that made the first game so awesome. It sold pretty fucking well, so clearly people liked what it was bringing. If this game does end up releasing without all that retarded "bro" shit you haters better go fuck yourselves, because I'm going to be pissed.
Seriously? I hated the first game, the AI was bad, even your buddy AI. And the homoeroticism in the game was annoying. I hope they get rid of the snide comments in the sequel and fix the AI then I'd be happy.
I don't think the first Army of Two was homoerotic at all. Actually, I'm convinced that anybody who thinks so probably has some deep seated issues that need sorting out. Holy shit two guys?! ___GAY____
the chinese characters on the building near where the helicopter crashed just say "Good hotel"... I don't know...maybe that is actually an accepted name for a hotel in China but I haven't seen one before...sounds weird to me.
I honestly LOVED the first one. Fuck yeah DiamondGuns. Me and my friend played through that game around 3 times, each time garnering many lulz and fistfights.
